The Woman Behind the Mission
Desiree Moore is a passionate problem-solver with over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to service, particularly her love for young people impacted by foster care and the adoption community.
Before stepping into executive operations support, Desiree worked directly with youth, encouraging, guiding, and empowering them through hands-on program support. Her dedication to service was nationally recognized in 2013 when she was honored by the White House as a Champion of Change.
Throughout her career, Desiree has supported some of New York City’s most impactful nonprofit organizations, working closely with executive leadership teams as well as individual executives. She brings a strong foundation in operations, communications, and program support, with a focus on creating structure, clarity, and ease behind the scenes.
She is the founder of Refined Paper, a virtual executive support service that partners with mission-driven leaders to streamline operations and strengthen organizational systems. Guided by her core values of order, integrity, and excellence, Desiree specializes in strategic calendar management, event coordination, communications, and operational support that keeps organizations running smoothly. Desiree may lead with calmness and care, but she is a steady force in managing complex operations and executing high-level events with precision and ease.
Outside of her work, she is a marathon finisher, having completed the NYC Marathon, and enjoys spending time with friends, discovering cozy coffee shops, and dreaming big. She is also a writer, podcaster, content creator, and soon-to-be author using storytelling as another way to inspire and connect.
