The Woman Behind the Mission
Desiree Moore is a passionate problem-solver with over 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has a deep love for young people impacted by foster care and the adoption community. Before becoming an Executive Assistant, she worked hands-on with youth, encouraging, supporting, and empowering them. Her dedication to service earned her national recognition from the White House in 2013 as a Champion of Change.
Desiree has worked with some of NYC’s most passionate nonprofits, supporting the entire executive suite as well as individual executives, in addition to providing program support. She founded Refined Paper, a virtual assistant service that helps mission-driven clients streamline their operations. Guided by her values of order, integrity, and excellence, Desiree specializes in administrative support such as strategic calendar and travel management, event planning, and communications. She may speak softly, but she is a powerhouse when it comes to running events and keeping operations on track.
Outside of work, Desiree ran and completed the NYC Marathon, loves spending time with friends, exploring cozy coffee shops, dreaming big, and storytelling. She is also a writer, podcaster, content creator, and soon-to-be author.
